Nashville Haul

For today’s haul I’m sharing the things I picked up in Nashville, Tennessee! A lot of these things are from the Opry Mills outlet mall (which was a total accidental discovery on the way to the Grand Ole Opry) and a couple stand alone stores.

This edition of picnic table hauls is from the campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. And… I apologize for the weird glory halos on lots of the pictures, the humidity was so bad that my camera lens couldn’t go a couple minutes without fogging up.

The first store I stopped at was Tuesday Morning. I had never heard of them before and only stumbled into there while waiting for an appointment at the nail salon next door. It reminded me a bit of a cross between Winners (TJ Maxx and the like) and Liquidation World (LW at some point). They had a lot of super random things at discounted prices so it was a great way to spend the time while waiting.

I picked up two nail polish colours from OPI’s fall 2016 collection. I talked more about these in my designated OPI haul which you can check out HERE, if you like!

I also picked up a couple scrapbooking things. The first is a Project Life 3 x 4 rounded corner card punch. I have never seen this Project Life brand one, but have almost bought the We R Memory Keepers one SEVERAL times but always end up putting it back because it’s usually around $25. For ten bucks, I figure getting the brand I actually scrapbook with is a bigger win! The idea is to use this to resize photos or scrapbook paper to be the size and shape of a 3 x 4 Project Life card in one easy push. I haven’t tested it out yet, so we’ll see how that goes.

The other scrapbooking item is a mini ruler and cutting mat set, but the kicker is they are magnetized to each other. This comes in handy when drawing lines or using an X-Acto knife (or similar tool), and the magnetized ruler is such a good idea. After I purchased it I realized that, in fine print on the back it says the product (paraphrasing here…) contains materials recognized by the state of California to be cancer causing agents. So….. there’s that.

Next is this GORGEOUS Belle mug. I won’t go on too much because I talked about it in my Disney World haul. Yes, I know that’s kinda cheating but shh. You can check that out HERE if you wish!

I have a love/ hate relationship with Forever 21 and haven’t found much there over the last five years. The one at Opry Mills is HUGE so I wandered through, as usual, but was stoked to find this hoodie dress! It came in a bunch of different colours but green is my favourite (and it’s so hard to find nice green stuff, ya know?). I have had a hoodie dress on my wishlist for awhile but it’s not something I could justify paying $30+ for, so at $14 it was a total win! It’s the perfect thickness and has a raw hem which I like, and can be worn on its own or over leggings (or however the heck you want to wear it!) but I think it would be SO cute with over the knee boots.

In the line to pay (those are always what gets me at every store haha) I grabbed this headband too. It was under four dollars and I thought it would be cute since I was in Nashville. I wore it in Memphis just to add a little more cowboy to my outfit.

The Kate Spade outlet was having a huge sale. I bought a backpack for $200 and a wallet for $30. The wallet is actually the exact same as one I have but I’ve used it so much it’s absolutely demolished. So… while the saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” doesn’t entirely fit in this context… it also kind of does. I also got the planner for (you might want to sit down…) $25. Yup.

The inserts are from 2017, but the planner itself usually retails for well over $100. I figured it would be worth it to grab and hope the 2018 inserts are sold individually, and maybe pick those up. They have since been launched and OH BOY are they nice. I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to do for 2018 planning (as I have been using a Kikki-k planner and Inkwell Press inserts for the past couple of years) so we’ll see how that goes. If you’d like to check out the planning related posts on my blog, those are available HERE!

The backpack is kind of a weird purchase since I just graduated school but it’s a nice size and can fit my laptop and other essentials. I’ve been really into backpacks over purses lately and the idea of a Kate Spade backpack has always appealed to me. So here we are.

So, these boots are actually from Memphis, but since most things were from Nashville I decided against calling this a Tennessee haul. But anyway, these olive green faux-suede ankle boots were $35 at Marshalls and I love them because not only are they green (again, favourite colour) but they’re low heel and… cowboy boots lite.  I’m not huge on actual cowboy boots but I loved these and thought they’d be perfect for fall and I’d always remember I got my (not) blue (faux) suede shoes in Memphis. Random as heck, but they’re apparently by Carlos Santana’s brand. I didn’t know he had a shoe line but, fun fact: I still have his songs with Nickelback on my iPod haha.

I hope you enjoyed this look at what I picked up while in Tennessee! Thanks so much for reading!
