BLOG…TOBER? A Guest Post ft. Erica B

I am determined to finish Blogtember… even though it’s not September any more. It’s like I ache for a participation ribbon in track and field even though 1st-12th place ones have all been claimed by my faster, more organized classmates/ fellow bloggers. I will finish. I think I can, I think I can.

I’m not going to call these posts “Blogtember” any more. It just sounds silly now that it’s October and the actual challenge is over, but I love these prompts. Bailey Jean from BraveLoveBlog did a fantastic job at orchestrating it and I just got so overwhelmed with school, assignments and work that I let this slide.

Also I got stuck at day 13 because I apparently suck at making mood boards. Go figure.

So, it may not be called Blogtember anymore and I won’t be posting them in order, but I am determined to do them all! And of course, I’ll have a super nifty disclaimer down below so that Bailey Jean gets credit for the awesome prompts she put together.

Today’s prompt is: Grab a guest post. Recruit a friend or fellow blogger to share on your space for the day.

And I totally did that. And I totally did it on the day it was the prompt! I just… never posted it. Why you may ask? And I would answer, I have no idea. Whoops. Anyway, my lovely best friend Erica wrote a post for me. You can check out her blog, but can check out the casual stylings of her blogging style by continuing down this page!

So I’m not quite sure what a guest blogger is supposed to write about, but looks I’m in charge, so I guess I can write about anything? Let’s just call this random ramblings with Erica. I’m new to this whole blogging thing and while being new, also haven’t blogged in awhile! Therefore I’m a rookie and I’m rusty… This could be very interesting, bare with me!

Adrianna’s the one to blame for getting me on this blogging train, as I seem to call it (not sure why? Haha) but I think it’s a good thing? I’m not much of a writer but it’s kind of cool to have a place to go to put thoughts down and have an outlet!

And now that I’m taking over Adrianna’s blog for this post… I think I should tell you all her deepest and darkest secrets! Just kidding, I’m not going to do that… I’ll leave that to her. What I will say though is that Adrianna is my best friend and she has been for 11 years now! I’m so lucky to have her, and I’m so thankful she’s put up with me for all these years! Adrianna really is the coolest, most genuine girl I know! It’s cool that I get to have the honour of being her best friend, she pushes me outside of my comfort zone and makes me try things (like this) that I’d probably never get around to actually doing otherwise. Pretty awesome, right? I think it’s pretty cool that we get to be school buddies, concert buddies, shopping buddies and best buddies, and that she’ll go on dates with me when I have no one to actually go on dates with because I’m all alone haha!

As I write this I’m sitting by the river, looking out at the calm water and just relaxing… Oh look, there’s my legs.

I love this view, and come down here when I just need to think or relax, it’s a nice quiet place! Love walking or running down here… Oh running, it’s been awhile since I’ve done that! Adrianna we should work on being running buddies again, maybe? But hey, isn’t it pretty! It’s nice to find an escape so close to home! I recommend finding one around you if you can 🙂

Now it’s a few hours later, I didn’t finish writing while down by the river, and when I got back home there was just so many other distractions! I had to leave my nice, quiet spot by the river because I felt a few raindrops, and being from Vancouver you never know if that means you’ll just get a few more random raindrops and nothing more, or if a torrential downpour is about to come. I wasn’t going to risk it since I didn’t have a jacket… Not very smart once fall rolls around here! Just a tip, be prepared… If you don’t bring your rain jacket that’s most likely when you’re going to need it (although I would’ve been fine today. Just turned out to be a few random raindrops!). And this blog post is going to be late because I didn’t get it done (sorry Adrianna, I tried).

Anyways, thanks for reading these random ramblings with me, Erica! 🙂

Thanks so much to Erica for contributing to the (slow and not yet very steady) posts for this blog of mine, and to you for reading it!

DISCLAIMER: The prompt for this post was originally from BraveLoveBlog’s Blog-Tember Challenge. I did not complete Blogtember during the month of September but adored the prompts so I am going to continue using the prompts out of order. ALL credit for the idea behind Blogtember and the creation of these prompts goes to Bailey Jean and her blog, BraveLoveBlog. You can find her original list of Blogtember 2015 prompts HERE.
